Metaphor AU - Kenji
Forward facing Kenji you’re the bane of my art career, no matter what I do or how many times I draw it he never looks right. Trust me that the first head sketch looked worse…At least Makoto looks good! It’s only Kenji that gives me trouble.
Base Makoto and Kenji designs for the Metaphor AU!
I’m not super happy with Kenji’s base shirt, but I could not for the life of me sketch anything that clicked. I’ll eventually design him a new shirt, we’ll say this one is parent-approved clothing since they wanna look good or something.
The symbol by Kenji’s shoulder is a quick family crest I did, just riffed on the Magician card. From the side you could see it on the arm of his cloak. Also just so it’s noted somewhere, he almost exclusively uses his igniter to keep warm when it’s especially cold in Montario. Uses it for Makoto when they meet since he’s dang freezing, Kenji’s just a bit uncomfortable.Apr 21, 2025
