I mean, just look at the colors! So warm and cozy~ Seriously, the background contains pretty much every warm hue - red, orange, yellow, and green! I love the painting of the sunset sky, and I love how the water reflects that! And since the background is entirely comprised of warm colors, putting Calypso in a sky blue dress was a fantastic choice! It really helps her stand out - especially with the way her skin glows against the sunset AND the dress matches her eye - bonus! Can't get enough of her curly, cocoa hair - nice work on adding a warm chestnut on the right, closest to the sun Good lighting is very important! Excellent shading on her skin, lips, and dress... Love the freckles, freckles everywhere! And she's holding such lovely flowers, awww~
I read in a comment under one of your other drawings that someone really appreciated the way you draw noses, and I am definitely inclined to agree - it's just really satisfying
