What is the most motivating or sweetest thing a stranger have ever said to you about your art? Something that made an impact on your confidence or brought a big smile to your face! :D
For me this is probably it.
I had only just recently picked up art and it were mainly something I did to get through school, yet I still joined Deviantart and posted my artworks on there.
At some point a person came by and posted on my wall something close to this 'I can tell that you must have just recently picked up art, yet I can tell you have a lot of potential! I will give you a follow and see how you evolve!'
Being as young as I was this comment really meant a lot to me! A stranger just told me they thought i had lots of potential! That they were sure I would be really good one day! Those words sounded like they believed in me more than I did myself.
It took me many years to finally pick up art for real, but the comment always followed me.
That one comment mattered so much to me that often went back to it, sometimes dig it up from under the piles of comments I have gained over the years. Said person actually followed me for years after and would often drop by and leave a comment on my works. I have no contacr with them today but god, they really have left a mark!:')Apr 14, 2021

An art teacher told me I had a lot of potential and should continue doing art and that made me really happy :) and uh one time I made art for someone and they made it their pfp so that was nice

•For me, I personally don't remember when people comment on my art (mainly because I barely show people). I take more joy in complimenting others work, especially people who aren't getting the recognition they deserve, it makes me happy when others are happy, so that they continue doing art and having fun doing it!

•Oh my gosh that’s so sweet

I’m glad you had that person to boast your confidence!! You’re thriving now

This isn’t as interesting but I had a few people tell me they could see my art/animation being on television and it’s always motivated me to do better to actually get there

•Probably being called a semi-pro by my art teacher of thirteen years :') I often feel like I'm not a "real" artist due to many factors so hearing that from someone who fits the "real" criteria means a lot to me. Also learning he showed off my piece to his artist friends ;w;
