Nadiya the Radish Woman

That time I had to design a vintage produce label in an Illustration class.
.
100% this was modeled of Nadja from WWDITS. She's also based off an OC my friend randomly invented. Nadiya grew up in the Soviet Union and is kind of stuck in the Cold War. She puts radishes in EVERYTHING because that's what she learned to grow. She lives with her Good Nephew Sergei who sells bootleg merch out of the trunk of his Chevy Nova.

I really wanted this to feel like it came from a piece of Soviet Socialist propaganda, so I stuck with simple shapes and muted colors. I weathered it and slapped it on some woodgrain to drive home the "label" aspect.Apr 17, 2021
