Sigma (OC) and Cousin Benedict
autistic friendsSigma have only recently found out what autism is, and after reviewing all the life they have managed to live, they realised why they have always seemed so strange to themselves and others. They have always had trouble making friends, always had trouble understanding the world and other people, and have always been intimidated by loud noises and bright lights. They were always so withdrawn and unsociable that people laughed at them for it.
Sigma always felt that their interests evoked too many emotions, so many that it hurt. They wanted to share their interests with others, but there was always too much information for other people to handle.
Sigma always felt as if they were out of this world, they thought they were an alien or a robot, but it turned out to be simpler than that. It's autism. And it's not a bad thing, they're just different.
With this realisation came peace of mind and finally a long-awaited acceptance of self. Everything suddenly became clear.Jun 3, 2022
