This depicts the origins of the scar on Rook’s lip - or just afterwards, anyway. The cut healed poorly since instead of cleaning it, he had to put his mask on and go on duty for long hours. Sometimes the backstory of a scar isn’t some cinematic battle against a worthy foe, but a sad story of a demanding boss.
