I can understand what they're teaching and the formula but the problem is that I forgot everything that I've learned throughout all the years I've been in math class. So when we need to do substitution, solving with decimals, solving with fractions, and all the stuff that we need to remember, I always don't know what to do

Ah I had that problem too ;;; I don’t know how it got better though it just did so now I actually retain stuff now
