I had a few mutuals on there I loved talking to and supporting but I think for the sake of my brain and mental health, taking a step back from that awful algorithm and time-sensitive posting style was a good choice
Honestly I donโt know if Iโll ever ACTUALLY join it again- probably just to promote my comic for when it launches and other stuff along those lines, but it definitely wonโt be my main platform anymore! Itโs just a lot more pleasant here anywayMar 18, 2023

We don't know each other but I'm very proud of you for taking a step back from Instagram and prioritizing your mental health 
That platform has become an absolute hell, especially for artists, because of an impossible algorithm, spam accounts, bots and scammers.
You made the best decision
I was actually thinking to do the same thing. Just staying there to promote my book.

Happy you are taking care of your health. Instagram is full of bots, spam, and weird people. Theyโre mainly copying other platforms for popularity. Have a โfavouriteโ button, which brings no meaning on showing follower numbers. Always good to switch when something affects our mental health.
Glad that Artfol provides a community for artists. Display art in chronological order than strict algorithm. A convenient place to explore different human artists and inspire. Donโt have to stress for number of likes and followers.

Yes it's sad that instagram has come to this but it's just become a haven for bots and spam and growth is pretty stagnant there.
I think Artfol is the community and art sharing platform that artists need. A place to make friends, be inspired, create and share and talk to each other. No need to stress about likes and followers which is not in your face here
