Hello there
I want to open up to you about something that's been on my mind lately.
Some stuff in life has made and is making me think about some important choices I have to make, and due to it I've been having this intrusive thought of feeling sad about my art? But not in the way of thinking is bad art... But because of me comparing again to other artists, to how it it's supposed to be a successful artist. I've felt like what I do is not good enough or how could it ever be as good or as well received as others? I know this thinking just ends in me making me more insecure but sometimes it's hard to make it go away. I start thinking that if I ever make something "right" or if good things comes they will not last, like getting disillusioned before getting hurt,
I know all this thoughts won't stop me from keep creating art, characters and stories because I just can't leave what I love the most to do. But it does make my heart feel sour and they are scary thoughts.
I want to feel secure of what I do, and that in time even if it's hard it will pay of.
I want to be that strong person even tho sometimes situations in life makes it hard.
I really hope what I do can mean something good to someone one day.
I would like to say to you all and my mutuals here, thank you so much, thank you for giving me the chance to feel the joy of sharing something I loved doing with you, for taking your time of your day to comment and saying something nice to me, for keep following me and liking my art, for as long as it last I hope you find something of value in it.Sep 28, 2022

Got some of your same fears! It does get exponentially worse the more people get to like your art (in my opinio n) since as artists usually we don't like to "let down" who likes us or our art.
It's the first time I reach a good number of followers ever (only on here). And I'm grateful everyday. I never want to let them down either. Is it enough to make a living? Absolutely not even close. Do i stop loving my art or stories because it's 'unsuccessful'? nope!
I always remind myself of kid me that enjoys creating no matter who sees or what others think. How disappointed would little me be if I Consumed myself into someone that won't share with the world their art, especially when it's something i adore!
No matter the like number someone WILL enjoy what you make and it will make an impact in their day
️
I hope you find the best balance for yourself ^^ I like your art and it has a unique feeling to it
best of luck and perseverance

•I have had those same thoughts as well. When I see your art, I see a lot of emotion and genuine feeling behind it, and I really admire you and your art a lot. I see others also really express how much they love your art too, and I know it won’t always make those intrusive thoughts go away but I hope it brings you some peace and happiness to your days.

•Look, there must always be people who are better than us, that we always try to be better than before, and this is beautiful, but I understand the feeling, let me give you a description that really cannot be expressed in words, any art that has a feeling in it. And if he/she has described that feeling well, that work is beautiful, and this will make you not diminish yourself, the beauty of your work remains, then tell yourself that if I feel that I have to do something to better describe this feeling, I will do it, that way it will be amazing. The inspiration of some artists makes you enjoy more and say that I also make my work more beautiful

•Being an artist is so challenging. The nature of what we do requires us to be sensitive people, whether it's a sensitivity to life, to understanding, to the way things feel or are. It's an important part of how we are able to express ourselves through art.
Unfortunately it seems to me that that also makes our emotions stronger and more challenging to deal with. In moments where there is doubt, worry or sadness, try your best to have faith in yourself and the things that you love doing. What you already have achieved is creating happiness and inspiration for others, hold onto that when you need to be reminded of how valuable your creativity is.
We won't always be certain or safe in our choices. But we also can't achieve anything truly magnificent if we aren't willing to take chances. Sadness passes, broken hearts mend. We learn and grow from the sad things that happen, so even if you can't always feel 100% secure in your choices, follow your heart and your values knowing you will either succeed or learn something valuable for your next try.
Above all, love yourself and your talent through everything that happens in life, you deserve it.
