Reminder to search up your story’s name on google, to check that it’s not taken by anything else too major AND see what weird shit comes up.
When I looked up mutated earth, I got a song from a SoundCloud thrash metal band that had a total of 19 listens. Looking further into the bands page (which was small and abandoned), they left one comment on a death metal track that was about how easy bake ovens force children to be their saves. I don't search of the names of my stories, especially since mine is too generic.
But I do think it's important to search the names of your characters. My justification of it is to make sure no relevant results come up, meaning once my character gets their full name published, then they're pretty much guaranteed to be at least in the top 8 google results.
