Hey artists who have the patience to detail things down to the pixel...how?

I have a bad habit of rushing through my art and it leaves a lot unpolished 😭. I'm working on it, but a big artworks requiring high detail still elude me.

Tbh I do use a lot of photo bashing or brushes that replicates the details I need! Photo bashing can become also cartoon if you use photoshop filters

I also have the problem of rushing my art 😅😅😅 honestly making the canvas dpi really big then reducing it during export makes mistakes non noticable if its a few pixels!!

I've found a way to add detail without destroying my will to live. I do it messily but in a deliberate way where it gives suggestions of detail instead of drawing everything perfectly, most commonly when I'm filling a canvas with flowers n shit. /gen

I used to draw like that going into the highest zoom just to make sure it's perfect and I took like 3 hours to finish a simple sketch I've simplified my art a lot since then and it's been better looking and more fun

I have the same problem, i have do many big ideas but i get so bored so fast 😔😔 i ended up just giving up clean lineart altogether
I have found that podcasts and like generally stimulating myself enough while drawing definitely helps, so i can kind of check out or focus on other things while doing something not interesting, and also switching things up a ton. So like having a bunch of different types of surfaces and textures and stuff so theres always something new to focus on and it doesnt feel as repetitive
Also just finding shortcuts and cool custom brushes work too hdbfnsnf

Kinda opposite lol, everything need to be perfect down to the tiniest detail, even tho most times you cant even see it unless ur really looking

I have no idea…I just sit there and do it-
Helps me with stress? That’s the only thing I can think of-

I find I have the opposite problem lol. If something ain’t perfect, I gotta fix it, even if when I zoom out you can’t even tell. Idk why I’m a perfectionist like that.
