I took my revaaaaaangeOh boy I'm so proud of this one Still gouache ! But it's so much better than the previous gouache drawing (while it's the same OC, Chester !) the difference between the two is comically huge I find
So happy to reconcile with gouache that way !
I think the biggest mistake of the last one was trying to work with dried gouache on my palette that I tried to reactivate with water. That's possible but hard to manage, I'll avoid doing that in the future and just snif use more paint.
Things I want to remember from this experience (imo but might be wrong idk) : - Don't use dried paint - Try to work more by zone and less by layer - Do not put too much paint on your brush it dry fast and make masses of dried paint on your canvas - You can line with paint when you shape your brush with a few brush strokes on the palette and tracing a line in your paint to have the right amount on the tip of the brush - Be patient, don't be shy, don't hesitate to add more depth to your drawing by adding shadows, it's worth it, but take your time for it, little by little - Mixing colors is really funJan 1, 2024
