Runeberg's torteHere's my entry! Runeberg's torte is a Finnish pastry and it's eaten usually on Runeberg's day, on February 5. Runeberg was a finnish lyric, priest and epic poet. He is considered to be national poet of Finland. He is also the author of the lyrics in Finland's national anthem. There is a popular legend that states that his wife created the dessert.
Runeberg's torte is flavored with almonds and arrack or rum. It usually has raspberry jam encircled by a ring of icing on top.
I saw that a lot of people have made cakes and ice creams as the characters. I'm from Finland and I wanted to choose something uniqueto stand out more so I chose Runeberg's torte. Runeberg himself is a big part of Finland and I got a lot of inspiration from his background. For example he was a writer so I made my oc a writer too. I also saw that a lot of people made their characters girls so I made mine male. (Also I think that boys with glasses look hot >:3€ )
His name is Rune and he could be a poet/writer in the world. Or maybe one of those really good looking history teachers.
It was my first time using color dodge and making a full illustration on my ipad so sorry that it looks messy. The little button on his sleeve is made to look like the jam and icing topping.
