Long Live the ChampionWhen I saw the Reptiliada contest being hosted by spikulec on Instagram, I knew I wanted to give it a shot! I’m not a huge reptile person other than dinosaurs, but I thought this would be a cool way to get me out of my comfort zone!
I had some difficulty thinking of a character because I love avian dinosaurs, but unfortunately they weren’t allowed for this particular contest. Instead, I went and looked up cute reptiles on Pinterest for inspiration as an alternative. From that came this little man, whom I’m currently calling Hercules!
Despite his appearance, Hercules is a full grown lizardfolk in his twenties. His family is royalty of a small reptilian kingdom. While loved by his family, he was often babied even as an adult for his size and soft appearance. To prove his strength, he ran away from home to seek the path of a Barbarian.
Hercules was super fun to design, and I ended up finding inspiration for him in some unlikely places! I’m curious if anyone can notice some of his resemblance. I might come back to this character again in future!Jan 4, 2022
