Phoenix Rising is the 9 chapter long, traditionally drawn, slow motion train wreck of a Kung fu panda fancomic I’ve been attempting to make since middle school. I actually started production in November 2019, and it was first introduced into the internet in January of 2020. I originally posted the thing to Instagram but I have since decided to bring it to an actual comic hosting service: Webtoon (and tapas and possibly a few others)
Here’s a quick plot summary:
Phoenix rising takes place 7 years after the events of kfp 2. Po and whatever of that group of characters I have let live this long have been trying to catch the local demon/cryptid that has been terrorizing their town for years. But catching the creature only leads to more questions leading them down a rabbit hole involving a mysterious cat, a new weapon and an old enemy long thought dead.
Also yes Shen is in it.
