Kip Ryoko (REDESIGN)This is my OC Kip Ryoko! You’ll be seeing a bit more of her pretty soon as I’ve been really enjoying her character lately. She’s an old OC of mine that I made back in… I wanna say 2018? Although, I never really had a solid design for her till recently.
I mean I knew she had dyed purple hair with pigtails, three piercings on each ear, and I knew her backstory- but I just never completely settled on one design in particular for body type or otherwise.
When I had created her originally, I could never even settle on her eye color, let alone face shape or body type. I still couldn’t settle on her eye color until after I completed this smh. (Her eyes are now canonically an aquamarine green/blue color if you were wondering)
It would always make things frustrating when I wanted to draw her digitally. It just never felt right? It was too inconsistent? She always looked like a different character every time I would draw her, so I struggled figuring out what she really looked like to me…
I’m not sure why, but this drawing cured my creativity for her character and now I’m on a roll so I’m using the momentum while I can!
This was actually finished a while back, I didn’t post it because I was still deciding on how I wanted her character design, I was tweaking the little things I hadn’t quite settled on yet.
However, now that I’m currently working on a canon character page just for her. I think I’m more comfortable posting this-
Even though I’m actively working on it, it’s probably still gonna take a while- (I’m barely even halfway done even though it’s fully sketched out and I have a solid color palette decided for her)
It’s taken me so long but I’m proud of the consistent progress I’ve made the past 3 days! I do think it’ll be worth it though! In my opinion, it’s gonna be one of the best art pieces I’ve done in a while! I’m motivated to finish it soon hehehehe >:3
