Candace was coming up next. She never got a chance to atone for her own sins.By now Sam has become completely insane. He relentlessly slams her head against a lying stone again and again, until... the breathing stops.
Her face is still, emotionless; her eyes are dim. Candace is still graceful, as though she’s just asleep, despite the pool of blood all over.
Sam gets up, dusts himself off.
“You got what you deserve”, he says, while looking down at the body with pride in his eyes, and then just walks away victoriously.Apr 14, 2021
