I really like bluesky but i have a big problem with the site. All the art i see on my feed is GOD TIER LEVEL GOOD and i get cold feet and major imposter syndrome whenever i consider posting something there. Also there is the issue with age.. people my age, well, i reckon they mostly turned professional by this point or drifted away from art to other endeavors. And all the people i feel like could be my mutuals are at least 10 years younger.. so its kinda giving 'Hi I'm somnia, the the unc 'with a project'' yey, TvT
I do realize all the people here are also like over 10 years younger or teens i could be old enough to have personally created to walk upon this earth but the vibe is different here so i dont mind it at all ^w^Jan 30, 2026

@clockworkmegrim the no algorithm feature is great i agree. And also no ai, such a cozy place but sadly a bit quiet. I still think there is a future growth potential here but only if they manage to fix the usability issues. I feel younger people are quicker to switch platforms because of the problems here.

I also feel like an absolute fossil on this site, though. Like… I can’t relate to anyone’s problems here because I’m like… working and going to university (even then I’m at the older end of the student age range).
I like that this site is quiet, though, and has no popularity algorithm
