Safe thanks to her

Hehehe, this was meant to be a sketch, but it ended becoming a full illustration.

For anybody coming across my account for the first time, these are my characters and they all belong to a webcomic I'm working on titled "Espero". The silhouette belongs to princess Calipso the protagonist, in the middle we have Humn, the main antagonist who is a dark God and is in love with Calipso and then Hmaná, the goddess who created and protects Calipso's kingdom.

This is something based on a comment I got on another platform praising how polite Humn is to Calipso despite how powerful he is as, since he is a god, he could like Zeus in Greek mythology and kidnap her and do as he pleases.

The truth is that actually Humn wants to do all that, but he can't because he has divine chains in his wrists, ankles and neck created by Hmana and other five deities to keep him controlled. Thanks to these chains, Humn has become quieter and more civil, like he appears in the comic, but he is still impulsive and cruel. Before the chains, he was unpredictable and, when he was driven with obsession, he also had a more savage side. This was reflected in his appearance when his teeth got sharper, he grew a pair of horns (though these do not always appear), his face and eyes could turn red and he drooled a dense black saliva that looked more like oil.

The chains also made him lose powers, so he is more limited right now. Thanks to Hmaná, Cali has been safe from him throughout her life. Humn in the other hand became calmer as time went by.

But time now is running out as something has happened to the goddess and Humn's chains will slowly break, freeing him again.
