I ALSO RECENTLY JOINED TWITTER
I posted an art piece immediately and got only 4 likes
But then I started being active in certain fan groups (technotwt/sleepytwt) and after I reposted the same art piece I got 90 likes after interacting in less than one week!
This is also due to the fact that I joined a few fan group chats and got friendly with a bunch of other people
But also be careful cos antis go crazy, I had a few people try to send gore and death threats because they disliked the person I supported

•It’s extremely difficult to get any attention on Twitter without being retweeted by folks with large audiences. It helps to be involved with projects that a lot of people are paying attention to; that’s the only way I’ve gotten influxes of new followers — and even then not a ton — unless maybe you already have dozens of irl friends who are also active on Twitter

•Be passive aggressive, that's essential. But talking seriously, this is more useful for professional artist, if you are having a blow up in your audience then you should get a Twitter.

•It depends on what you mean, but a general rule for artist on Twitter is to have some people ( preferably with big audience) who would retweet your art from time to time since it's rather hard to promote yourself on your own there
