DecayI did this piece for Fairy Fae Week! This was inspired by the prompt New Life / Decay. I had an accompanying fairy depicting ‘New Life’ but I preferred the ‘Decay’ one more.
I wanted to depict a flower fairy towards the end of her days, resting in the now decaying flower that once gave her life. There’s fragility and sadness but there’s a quiet peace to this moment, I hope I was able to bring that across.
