Do you put all your ocs into one collection or do you divide them in some way?
I've been thinking about dividing them, most likely by stories, but I tend to draw ocs not related to each other on one page and it might get confusing for everyoneApr 21, 2023

I separate them into the story universes they’re in, but new OCs with unassigned stories I just put them into the same folder, and when I wanna use them in a story, I take them out and put them in the folder of the story that they’re now assigned to.

all into one folder! I don't have that many and I don't have my stories all together (and so I don't have them posted anywhere either) so for me it's not that important. and I think it makes it easier when people want to draw a character of mine, there's a general "oc" folder instead of like, 5 different storylines each with like...one or two characters, maybe no more than 7 in. But for people with bigger stories / more OCs, I think separating by universe/story makes sense
•
I jus seperate them into the story they belong to but I don't mind merging universes sometimes ,,,, and example is my first ocs having s mini cameo in my current story as a nod back to them etc
•
I too just divide them my universe/story. There are OCs I make and just stuff em into a universe cause they fit more in style and concept. I have human based characters and non human so that was an easy way to determine not being in the same universe. But some of the human characters lives wouldn’t really fit. My Oc Naomi’s world is built on crime fighting and Adam is just an anxiety ridden teenager that I would show the day to day life of. So style and concept are huge markers on how i determine worlds for my OCs.

One OC is for Artfol Universe challenge, other are from a story I haven't share and I don't divide them

•
i usualy divide them by story and universe , i have two collection for my 2 stories and one with the other ocs that are not related to the other two collections. this is the easiest way for my .
•
i haven't shared that many ocs yet and since they are all part of the same story, i will most likely put them in one collection.
i would say it depends on how many individual drawings you have from them and if they are part of different stories
maybe you can have one big collection of everyone and smaller sections with individual stories. if you have two characters from different projects on one post- put it in both collections

I haven’t thought that far at all. Maybe a few are in a universe together and etc. I don’t think I want them all in the same story. But who knows I haven’t gotten that far I’m still naming characters, giving them info and etc.
•
My ocs all have a world and story they belong in, I actually don't draw them much but there's a lot of them.
•
I usually separate them by the universe they’re in it’s way easier to keep track of!
