Out of all the art you create, how much do you actually post or share on social media?
I’ve been thinking about this quite a bit recently, now that I’ve finished a sketchbook. It’s about 200 pages big, but I’ve likely only posted around 20 of those pages. So I’m curious, how much art do you guys make that you end up sharing?Oct 27, 2024

I don’t even have like a media apps because I can’t have them. My parents are so strict. They can’t let me call text or do anything more only I can only play games on my phone they plan over everything even spills my mom does that the most like I’m tired of it. It makes me wear. They want me to wear. I don’t want I want to like

It's around 90%. Essentially, every project I actually finish gets posted, unless I a) forget or b) hate the finished thing.

I have so much art that’s ready to post that I don’t share. I’m very shy, so I don’t post a lot of it even if I want to.

I post everything haha, it's always sweet to see people's reactions even to my dumbest doodles. I used to feel a bit embarrassed by those and only shared them with friends so my galleries in social media could look "clean" (=filled only with fully rendered artworks(?), but that made me lose motivation in the long run
Now I just post everything on Twitter, and I'm so glad Artfol has a folders system cause that makes me feel much more freedom!! I can just hide or put inside collections whatever I want if I'm not that proud of it without having to keep it for myself either :]

•I guess somewhere between 20-30%. I draw a lot more than what I post, especially my doodles and sketches. I also have a lot more OC's than what I posted online. More than I know what to do with them.

I used to post whenever I just finished something but now I'm more of a "I'm doing things in my bubble for now and once it's finished several pieces I may post some of them" part of it is to keep a semblance of consistency on social media...

I actually draw on a daily basis, and back when I was still drawing my OCs and my friends' OCs most of them were considered personal or inside jokes. So, in the end, I never posted 70% of my drawings from 2021 to Early and Mid 2024. I only post this much now since it's fanart ^^"

I'm a huge art poster, I like to get feedback and comments to see what people like of what i make, and the pieces I don't share are usually just some very specific pieces I don't enjoy as much, or sketches that don't make it to a final drawing... or old stuff. (I also don't post all of my nsfw drawings because it feels anticlimatic on artfol so those might end up elsewhere to view) haha I don't make many to begin with tho so indeed I post 95-99% of what I make

Mainly because I’m really enjoying showing my art stuff to others ^w^
What I don’t share tends to be Uni stuff that is weird to photograph (like a whole stack of abstract gestural ink drawings on weird long formats), or has something recognizable on it, like names or locations.

It’s hard to give an exact percentage but I probably share around 1/4 of the total art I make? The majority of my art consists of random doodles and sketches and WIP drawings and I don’t usually post most of those. If we’re only talking about fully finished artworks then I probably share like 75% of it

Probably 80% now that I only rescently I started drawing stuff that aren't just art exercizes but before it used to be 91-100% because I didn't had the habit of just doodling without big goals now and then like most artists, which was probably why my style wasn't evolving.
When I'm fully back at art again I need to fix that.
