HashandDTIYS (DTIYS Entry)
I’ve done another digital art piece once again, and this time it’s an entry for a draw-this-in-your-style challenge hosted by Hashartluv. It’s one of my baby steps in learning kidlit-style art, and I thought it would be fun to give it a go.The artwork features a cute little girl with bright golden eyes and a happy wide smile. She’s wearing a soft pink dress that looks light and playful, paired with brown boots that make her look ready to run about in a garden. Her black hair is styled into two small buns with short bangs, giving her a cheerful and lively charm. I drew her with both arms stretched wide—one raised high in the air and the other reaching sideways—like she’s greeting the whole world with joy. Her legs are crossed in a playful, mid-step pose that makes her look as though she’s dancing or hopping in the meadow.
The piece turned out fine, and I’m glad I managed to capture that bright, childlike energy. But since I’m only taking my first steps into kidlit art, I know there are still plenty of things I need to improve—like refining shapes, polishing colour blends, and getting the softness of the style just right. Still, this was a happy start, and I’m excited to keep going.Sep 17, 2025
