So...I was going through my art supplies and found a pack of acrylic paint tubes I received from my Secret Santa in 9th grade. I still haven't used a drop of it. I want to save it but I also feel guilty for not using these - last I checked, they totaled 35CAD

Is there an art supply you have but haven't used yet or no longer use?

I have a lot of stuff I rarely use, mostly paint, acrylic and watercolours, and some watercolour pencils, oil pastels and charcoals; I’ve only used all of these a couple of times bc I use regular colourpenscils or markers a lot more and everytime I try them I have to learn how to work with a new medium wich takes time but would like to actually use all my art supplies more frequently, I just procrastinate on it or forget I have them. Actually also have a bunch of stuff from my childhood that I just keep, a lot of cheeper colour pencils. Used to get mostly art supplies for christmas and birthday so ended up with a lot I don’t use🙈 I have been thinking about selling or giving some away
I got some markers a few months ago that I haven’t been able to use yet because I’ve been so busy with college. I tried taking them home with me so I could use them over winter break but they wouldn’t fit in my suitcase. I’ll get a chance to use them eventually! 😅
I have my granddad’s Faber Castel graphite pencil I picked up from his desk after he passed. He was an artist too and I like keeping it with the rest of my supplies as a keepsake.
I have a bunch of.. I think they’re prismacolours ? I honestly forget but they’re coloured pencils and they cost like 50 bucks. I used them for school art projects a few times but otherwise I don’t touch them. I really don’t like using coloured pencils for some reason it drives me nuts 😓
It's kinda the opposite for me, there were supplies I used but no longer have, I had to move abruptly from a bad situation and had to leave most my art supplies behind 😭.

I do have some graphite supplies still but I don't use them much.
I hate drawing with a regular pencil, always using mechanical pencils. So when I recently found out that mechanical colored pencils exist, I had to buy a set, absolutely sure that they would be a game changer. Turns out, I hate the darned things and am sticking to my regular colored pencils. So the mechanical colored pencils are taking up space on a bookshelf.
I have some very good Carand'ache Luminance coloured pencils that I have barely touched. It's because I am just starting to learm about colour and pencils. I don't want to waste these excellent pencils while learning and not even understanding what I am doing. I have been using cheaper pencils and I already learnt a lot. I almost feel confident enough to use the good ones, I will be there soon. It will be a lot of fun!
All of my traditional art supplies are no longer in use, and I have loads...
