Are Cricuts any good?

I've had one for a few years. A Cricut Air 2.
I got it to cut stickers mostly because everyone else made it look so easy to use...and they said so too-

But I've never gotten it to work properly. For one reason or another, ever.
This Cricut has never cut any of my stickers correctly.

At first it would cut like a tiny bit to the side- but that resulted in very bad consequences to the sticker-

Today, I tried using it again. I printed out my stickers in PDF- just to test how they'd look and such.
Since Cricut doesn't accept PDF, I exported it to PNG in two different ways- none of them worked.

For some reason, Cricut resized the image. I heard it's cause you need to use "Print then cut"- so I did. But it printed wrong...the images are way smaller and the colors are saturated and also...it's grainy.

The same printer btw- so I wanted to cut it to see if it cut good. It told me it needed calibration. But it always stops and says it can't read the cut sensor marks but they're well printed and the mat is positioned correctly and everything...but it won't do it.

I'm pretty annoyed and I tried to look up advice only but I haven't found anything and many people seem to have the same issues with the Design Space app-

So here I am- does anyone know a solution or a workaround? Or should I just give up on this?
