Zmeul
Zmeul is a character from romanian folklore and he embodies evil, greed and selfishness.He is described by some as a "dragon", but has been noted to possessing both man and dragon/serpent-like features: a scale-covered, human-like body, a snake's tail, and bat-like wings.
Zmeul likes to kidnap a maiden to be his wife in his otherworldly realm, but he is always defeated by Făt-Frumos ( "Prince Charming”).
He is sometimes confused with another dragon like creature named Balaur, but unlike Balaur he is more human both in looks and customes.Nov 12, 2022
