The sad, yet hopeful Goddess

The good thing about having lots of paper work to do is that time goes by fast. I mean, I was absent a couple of days, but still, in none of those days I could look at my phone for more than few seconds before having to deal with more work
In fact, I will be fully back on Wednesday and right now I must go back to check more emails and files, but I still took this mental break.

Something I made during my lunch breaks on my phone.

For those unrelated to my comic, over here is Goddess Hmana, the creator of the magical and secret realm of Espero, where the story takes place and a site that's hides from the outside world. She's a light of hope to the inhabitants of this land and they always pray to her to seek comfort.

Sadly, there are times she's not so hopeful herself. Hmana visits constantly both Espero and the outside world, in the later she has less control and power. Despite counting with the help if her 7 children and five angels, Hmana's efforts to make the outside world a better place are not always enough. Outside there is violence, death, hunger, poverty, hatred and fear and little she can do to fight all of that, maybe because the outside world is bigger, maybe because humans out there lost faith or who knows why else.

When she feels like this, she goes to a quiet place away from everyone, including her children and angels, and cries. She's made mostly of clouds and steam, so whenever she cries, she creates rain.

Despite this feelings and all the crying, Hmana doesn't give up. She has the hope that someday, the world will be a better place as there are still kind humans who make life in the outside world worth living. Those humans give hope to the goddess.
