Little vent post: I think a new goal I want to achieve is, once I'm a little bit more financially stable, I want to quit my job.
After years here I'm certainly fed up with working in a field as hopeless as Public health in a developing country is. I'm noticing I'm making more mistakes, I'm less motivated, I'm less invested in it, I don't feel like I'm learning or becoming more competent and instead of growing I feel like just aging quicker without any benefit. I'm also feeling useless, like many stuff can be solved without me and I'm here just because the person who hired me was a friend of mine (which is sadly true)
I feel as clueless as I was when I first started working on it. True, I have a more stable financial situation and I'm here by mere luck, but spending 9 hours a day 5 days of my week for 8 years just leaves me drained and constantly sick.
I know there's not such a thing as the ideal job and I know I'll never be able to find a job where I get as well payed as I am right now, that I might sell or rent my current apartment because homes are unaffordable where I live if you don't get a ridiculous high salary, but at least I hope to find something I can at least tolerate and have enough money to eat. I also know that I can't make a living as an artist, especially with all the AI existing, so that's off the table.
I will never get my youth back, but I hope to at least grow old doing something that can give me at least a tiny taste of happiness. Just need to figure out how.Apr 26, 2024

I hope it works out, you deserve to move on to a job you enjoy!
Even if you were lucky to get this particular one, it is not worth it at the cost of your mental and physical health in the long run ;A; I'm absolutely certain your contribution there these 8 years have been significant and invaluable though! They've been lucky to have you
But I truly hope you get a job where you can thrive soon

wishing you the best in figuring out what to do next ;v;
