You know, I really need to stop restricting myself when it comes to art
I have a sketchbook on me at all times, but I don't really use it and I think it's because I'm so picky about what I draw
I could totally just draw landscapes or buildings, but for some reason I just... Don't? Even though it would really help my overall skills.
I think the problem here is that I only really draw things I consider pretty and unordinary. Which, if you spend most of your time in the same places, doesn't work since everything becomes ordinary.
The other problem is more of a moral one I think. I often see cute doodles and such (usually of animals) and I'm like "Oh that's so cute, I wanna draw that!" but then I realize it's already an art piece, drawn by another person so I'd just be copying them.
But like, most of the bigger, amazing artists I follow have literally said they copied (for example) pages and pages of a manga they liked when they were little and that's how they developed for some time
And as long as you don't post it and/or claim it as your own, wouldn't it be fine?
I dunno, this one I'm still not sure about
Anyway, I was gone for a bit (literally, I was on vacation), but I'm back now, very slowly working on an art piece and also trying to become more productive again in general and yeah...
