If you do join any art challenges, be careful that you’re not joining one of “elf guy’s” challenges on one of his various accounts. He’s using the challenges to bypass not paying artists for their work. (You see, he’s a well known art scammer & major creep best known as Spiritomb1831 on Reddit & DeviantArt, but has over 30 known usernames across the internet, some of which are unfortunately here.)
Their currently known (& not banned) accounts are @/elenwen, @/gondolinfolk, & @/myriadofcolours.
Their art challenges tend to have HUGE tangents on worldbuilding, character establishing stuff, or on how elves are treated horribly, all of which aren’t usually related to the challenge at all. They tend to make grammatical errors & misspell words; especially mixing up when singular & plural nouns should be used. (EX from the now banned @/starelf: “If one of your OC found my elf OC crying in the rain what would they to?” instead of “If your one of your elf OCs found my elf OC crying in the rain, what would they do?” Those type of consistent errors.)
They’ve actually used one of the same characters in an art challenge post to scam an unknowing artist over on Reddit. The character is of a 19 year old elven woman, caucasian, longer black hair, slender with visible abs, may have cuts & bruises, & is usually wearing a dark colored, off the shoulder crop top with dark colored pants.
