I hope you’re evening is going well !
No games tonight, I’m just here to talk a bit about my activity in the next few weeks.
Artfight has been a mixed bag for me this year ! I was so happy to participate, and I’ve been very spoiled with art. I’ve been trying my best to revenge on every attack I got, I thought I finished everything but I’m only now realising I still have an artwork to do before completing my list.
The quality of whatever I’m making had been steadily declining since the beginning of the event. Drawing for others has never been something I was great at, especially when it comes with characters I’m not familiar with and expectations of myself relative to time constraints and quality.
An artwork is just so many things to think about, especially when you have a style as simple as mine. Composition, flow, colors especially are essentials, and when one of those parameters is failing, the artwork just loses its magic. It becomes less catching, less impressive.
All of this to say, I probably will delete a couple of posts soon, trying to get my gallery to a point that better represents the visual universe I’m trying to build for myself. No worries, I’ll put everything back in proper collections so you can find the artwork I made for some of you.
Another thing is, I’ll probably also vanish for a while. My level needs to bounce back, and I know already that’ll come in the form of plenty of unfinished works and maybe drawing exercises. I hope you don’t mind !
