Some worldbuilding for the world of Livi the urban fairy-
Fairy subspecies:
Petalkin- Livi’s race. Wings are often patternless or simple gradients, can appear wrinkled or ribbonlike. Survival oriented but limited magic aptitude. Used to be known for their extensive knowledge of herbal potions and poison to make up for their lack of magic.
Mothlings- cousins of the petalkin, wielders of magic and enchantments. Wings are more traditionally insectlike, however are most often soft, muted colors. Despite their weak eyesight, mothlings are timid and most active at night when others are asleep. Because of this, most at least know a basic nightlight spell to navigate their world. Often live near artificial light sources.Jul 1, 2021
