My art test score was bad.. I had to take a make-up test, somehow I felt like I had failed as an artist.. even those who had no experience as artists seemed to have no mistakes in their art test, in fact their score was good. . . even because of that, they didn't take the make-up test and laughed happily, but the laugh was like insulting the others...
I don't care about grades, but I feel like I failed as an artist.. sigh.
I envy those who don't have to remediate, there are even those who get a score of 100 (perfect score) even though they're artists, but they haven't studied digital art.
But on the other hand, for some reason I'm sure that if the art exam is about digital art, there will be many students who will have difficulty, because a little and they are rare (ig)
I've been practicing for years since I was little, and I even studied a lot of anatomy, even tho I don't use it. Sigh.
I kind of hate fine art even tho I know fine art is actually like a freedom. . .May 20, 2026

No no no, u didnt. Failing the art test does not mean ur bad at art
Because the things we needed to answer isnt our main thing on art so we didnt really know how to answer, i think i also did pretty bad. Its because we do digital art. Not like motifs or something. And your classmates? Sure they don't have any connection in art but maybe they learned from google, reading, or just common knowledge. But laughing to insult is very bad.
Just to let you know, failing an art test does NOT mean ur not an artist/you don't know anything about art. Art can be from different forms, and the stuff on the test WASNT the art form we are connected with. It was not ur fault :)

I don't know your school or your art classes but every art class I've been to are all about realism, and while realism IS impressive, being entirely honest realism drives me away from an artist. BESIDES YOUR ART IS REALLY GOOD! You have not failed as an artist! nobody can fail as an artist! Art is different to everyone so your art exams might make you feel good or make your parents happy, they do not determine your skills. (But this is all coming from the "smart kid" who gets "high grades" so I might be wrong about some of this)

•Based on what you said so far, it sounds like what you created during the exam did not meet the requirements they used to give the grades. This has happened to me too before :') it doesn't mean you failed as an artist or that your art is bad, it most likely means that according to their judgement, you didn't do what they asked you to. You're going to be okay!
