THE ONLY CORRECT OC QUESTION
Assuming in Kart:
• Dee goes Bowser. She isn't the most precise racer and prefers to bump people out of the way. Also for that sick good dad energy.
• Shirley goes Yoshi, the objectively best Mario Kart character, and has a hard time believing that other people don't know that.
• Alabaster goes Luigi because A) he needs the acceleration, and B) he vibes with him a little too closely for comfort.
• Grimes goes for Birdo because she thinks it's funny.

Mario Kart 8 for the switch
I had to look up what the available characters are because I don't have a switch. So if the guide thing was wrong or missing characters, whoopsies-
Freece (Asoriphair) would pick Link, Rosalina or Metal Mario
Time would switch around a lot, but most often use toadette, toad, tanooki mario, yoshi, cat peach and inkling boy. And Waluigi LOL
Penelope would use both versions of Villager, Isabelle, Rosalina, golden peach or peach and Link
Flock would use Link, Dry bones and Dry bones bowser, inkling boy and most often, Shy Guy. Or just their Mii
Their brothers would both use either dry bones, dry bones bowser or king boo.
Red would use Bowser, Dry Bones Bowser, Donkey Kong or just plain old Mario
Leon likes to play as donkey kong, Lakitu, Koopa or the inklings, but he often gets bullied (affectionate) into using cat peach or tanooki Mario :]
Luka plays as Link, Yoshi, Metal Mario or Inkling boy, with a preference toward Link and Metal Mario. Occasionally he plays as Lakitu or Koopa as well.
Reaper would definitely go for Wario, Waluigi, Bowser, and the weird koopa variants (Larry Koopa, Iggy Koopa, Roy Koopa, Morton Koopa). Also, Luigi
Portal would play villager girl, gold peach, peach, baby daisy, baby peach, toadette, cat peach, daisy- all the girly and/or innocent looking ones, basically. And then she'd absolutely destroy you with them

Ok speed round:
Freece/Asori - Pit, Lucario, Wolf, Fox, Metaknight, Sheik. And ice climbers, but only so he can make lots of ice puns
Time - Metaknight, Donkey- and Diddy kong, Kirby, Sonic, Falcon, Ness, Luka, Game&Watch, Yoshi, Toon Link, Olimar. He switches up who he plays a LOT.
Red - Ike, Marth, Falcon, Mario, Donkey Kong, Bowser, King DeDeDe
Penelope - Sheik, Samus, Pit, Marth, Peach, Pokemon Trainer, Yoshi

Um if we’re talking Mario Kart then Memphis takes either Dry Bowser or Mario, but if we’re talking Smash then definitely Bowser, Meta Knight or Kirby (because Kirby is easy to spam if he’s frustrated lol)
