Hug someone (talking is not necessary), listen to music, sleep under a blanket, drink something warm and sweet. Crying is also helps me to relieve bad feelings and thoughts

When deawing and other creative approaches no longer do the job it helps me to move my body, do training, listen to my fav music or ask a friend to have a talk with me.
•
Listen to music, write, read, draw, and most importantly tell myself that it is okay to go through this. I tell myself that these bad times will pass and I will rise and move on and get stronger. YOU GOT THIS I BELIEVE IN YOU!

Listening to music, specifically music by Sewerslvt. Their songs are very chaotic and harsh sounding but somehow that calms me down. It's like the songs makes my feelings less abstract

Talking helps a lot, or even wording things out in notes on my phone that I'll probably delete later. It lets me process what I'm feeling and externalize it. I feel writing or talking activates a different, analytical part of brain, and before I even notice, whatever little sparks and flames are forming seem to just extinguish.

People give such good advice here that I feel like I have nothing to add...
Doing excercise that raises heart beat is a great way to rebalance. For me it works as a protection against steep waves of bad emotions, too, and gives solid distance/perspective to noticing and not anchoring myself to negative emotions and thoughts.

Pet my dog, watch my comfort shows, drink hot tea, think about why I’m feeling bad and kind of navigate what I can do to help myself, eat a yummy treat

•
I read a book :). It’s like an escape to a different world - I don’t usually use reading as an “escape”, but it definitely helps when I’m dealing with bad emotions

•
do something that brings me peace and joy like playing video games or reading something interesting :)
•
Write my stupid fanfic lol you should read it: https://www.wattpad.com/1007559585?utm_source=ios&utm_medium=link&utm_content=share_reading&wp_page=reading_part_end&wp_uname=SheCanDream&wp_originator=Al6jWN5Pe%2FxTbbTbTD5Tid7AECQqvjsnC606Xbivx6Caelg6RWQyx%2BplFa49CDNj7miOSiCpG74CaJCrsdBIeqKe3wuBb0XbRGPYeyCduZYzxur2C1Nr9NYW7QAJDCSe

I call my brother and ask him to talk to me about games. He's an encyclopedia of gaming facts; I like games so it helps me focus on something else. I also get along very well with my lil bro so hearing from him is double the help really
If I can't do that I hold my pet cat, Hestia, or play Hollow Knight. It specifically has to be HK, the particular game helps for some reason. I think TES: Morrowind might work too though, maybe Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as well

When my childhood cat was alive, he would jump on my bed and we would snuggle until I felt better. Now I just draw out my feelings (most of the time it’s environment doodles).

I dunno how different of an answer this is from everyone else’s, but I find doing art with a lofi music playlist on does it for me. :)

Either listen to specific music to calm me down, or watch my favorite episodes of a few youtubers (game grumps & cinnamontoastken). Sleeping is usually a last resort, just cause i will wake up in whatever mood i fell asleep in.
•
Just sleep, I can’t be mad if I’m not doing anything, even if it’s just putting my head down. Music can help to but with my insanely short temper I’ll get annoyed if my phone isn’t working fast enough or something so sleeping is my main option
•
Listening to music is usually what I do, when thats not an option I try to distract myself by forcing myself to focus on something around me rather than what I'm feeling at the moment.
