Do agree, your use of color is nice.
Very much possible to do it subconciously~
But also a great time to throw on one or two yt videos on color theory ^u^
Even if just to get an overview to have heard of some things~

Like I have a vague understanding of it. My understanding of it is“ this color maybe look like this color but it’s actually this other color
?!?”. But to be honest i actually don’t think I’m good at coloring at all and always surprised when people compliment my art. I don’t take it into consideration when making art most of the time. Maybe I do have good color theory and I’m doing it subconsciously but I really really REALLY doubt it
