Hey do any of y'all REALLY dislike how whispering asmr sounds? Like, not just the whispering but also some of the other sounds they make when whispering, like the sound of saliva + the tongue moving in the mouth.

YES. Sticky mouth sounds are gross. Honestly I don't know very many people, be they NT or ND, who actually like those videos. Honestly I think it's normal to hate mouth noises and people who like them are the weirdos

you might want to look into misophonia, it’s a condition where certain sounds trigger your fight or flight. (the most common trigger is mouth sounds) (also i learned that it’s neurological but that’s being debated for some reason lmao)

The only asmr I kind of like is like, some sensory ones that don’t have any sort of nail-tapping (actually just the bane of my existence in general, it makes me want to throw a fit) or sticky/mouth sounds but I can’t remember any ones I like off the top of my head

•It's called misophonia, sensitivity is more or less important for everyone. You just have to live with it.

It gives me chills for the wrong reasons, the only thing I like is when the videos have bizarre titles just for the laughs. An example I found recently was “Boyfriend crashes car and f*cking dies ASMR”

omg i hate asmr too!! the only thing kinda okay is when you only hear like finger nails tapping on something, or someone pressing down the keys of a keyboard and stuff like that. but anything else, especially if it’s any noise coming out of the mouth- no thanks
