I am reading this book. So, I like it, cause there are fight scenes, magic and lots of fantasy stuff I like.
BUT why is there this obviously toxic relationship between the cute girl and the "good-looking, strong, cool, good-dressed and toxic" boy?!
Damn it, the story was that good, by why has there always to be love?
I mean I'm not against it, it actually makes the story more interesting BUT WHYYY AHH?!?!?
So I had nothing against a story between to girls or a story of boy and a boy and also I like stories with a relationship between a girl and a boy, as long as they are cool and nice and not this 0815 - couple.
AAHHH
She talked about feminism and next day she was totally crazy about this boy she just met once.
WHYYHYY? Except for this, the story is just great.

God I hate when that happens. I'm not against romance in my literature but soooooo much YA fiction does this.
The biggest redemption arc of an author I've ever seen was when for the first half of a series the protag went through several toxic boyfriends, but in the end she ended up with a lovely girlfriend.

•Bruh this happens way too much in books and movies! But it happens too much in real life too and idk if it's stories like this perpetuating it or real life influencing the stories (it's like the chicken or the egg thing) but it's sad.
