They got married when she was 17, Calvin 15, about a year after they met.
They had a child who died at birth but were then blessed after finding a week old infant washed up on a near river bank. After resuscitating the baby, they learned the mother was nowhere to be found, believed to probably have been killed by a beast or bandits in the wilderness, so they adopt the child as their own.
After 4 years married, they were expecting their first biological child who they hoped would be healthy enough to survive birth and live a healthy life. But the Edinian Empire (renamed from Alenia) laid a quick siege on the city and Kaylia was caught in the destruction, dying from her wounds immediately.
