ME - Operation NANARLUKBeneath the icy surface of Terror Bay, the ancient serpent Kaalut Ctoxhe awaits in deep slumber. Its dream funnels reality into the timeline where it is finally awakened to consume the world - and then itself - until nothing is left. It is now Task Force 7's final mission to navigate the warped reality of its temple, stop Strata Fossil Fuels from awakening this hypergeometrical entity, and to seal it forever at all costs - whether it be their lives, their memories, or their sense of selves...
Since I started painting this before this scenario/operation started, I had to rely on spoiler-free and so not-so-detailed descriptions of the serpent's temple. Pretty much all I knew was that it's underwater, diving happens, it's freezing cold, reality is warped, and that the temple's Mesoamerican but the actual carvings are Haida art.
It was a pretty fun challenge! I'm pretty happy with the optical illusion composition. Fusing Aztec and Haida art + making up Haida art based of actual art was interesting, too. Too bad the actual temple is pretty vastly different from one I drew lmao but what can you do when you're on a deadline?
