Clara Schumann
"I once believed that I possessed creative talent, but I have given up this idea; a woman must not desire to compose — there has never yet been one able to do it. Should I expect to be the one?" (Internet says it's by her but we all know we can't trust but anyway) ~Clara Schumann (1819-1896)I would like to say how upset I feel whenever I think about how much injustice there is out there, Clara Schumann was one of the few women who got the minimum recognition from her works, she was a pianist and composer from the Romantic Period, most of her recognition was from interpreting her husband's, Robert Schumann, pieces, they grew as musicians together but she deserved more. A lot of women didn't get the chance to get known because everything either went to men or they just didn't really have any space to show what they did. If you are a musician or not, if you simply like music, I highly recommend you listening to her pieces, her works are wonderful.Apr 27, 2021
