Mythology kinda rant I guess?
I just want to make sure you guys understand that, in Greek mythology, there were two different times a god was locked up and the response was so vastly different
it's so telling!
The more known one is when Thanatos was locked up. He stayed locked away for one to three months, depending on the source, all the while the other gods were looking for him and trying to free him.
The OTHER time, Ares got kidnapped by Giants(long story) Ares was gone for OVER A YEAR and the gods were like "oh yeah, um, guess we should go get him, huh?"
EVERYONE HATES ARES
When Thanatos is locked away, for one, he wasn't a coward and idiot that made everyone mad, and two, everyone who needed to die, didn't! Thanatos is the god of natural death! Without him, gravely injured, old, sick ppl don't have that relief and ppl that should die are in horrible agony, it would be terrible.
When Ares is gone, uh....there's no more war....oh no, that's sooo bad....Nov 21, 2021
