I wish I could have a dog, but my family aren’t big fans specially my mum (she’s terrified by them)

•Yes! I have a black cat who used to be a stray until he decided to stay at home frequently after several feedings.

•I currently have 2 goldfish and a few harlequin rasbora fish. I would love to have betta fish and a hedgehog again

At my parent's house I have two cats, a few koi fish in a pond outside and two red sided turtles (I don't think that's super legal but my father got them like 30 years ago when it was still allowed to buy them in pet stores, now it is an invasive specie in France because stupid people released theirs in the wild, so yeah we're kinda stuck with them but that's ok we love them)
When I'll get my own place I also would like a cat because I've always lived with at least one, but I want a snake sooo bad. I've always wanted a snake but my father is afraid of them so... yeah, no snake in our house. I'd love a ball python, I've made so much research I am obsessed

Tecnically I do have pets, two orange cats. However, they aren´t really «my» pets. They are pets owned by my siblings that later were left with me and my father due to landlords not wanting pets in their areas.
But I would really want to get a dog, however, it probably wouldn´t happen until I have my own place to call home.

Me: Unfortunately I don't have any pets but I would love to have a cat. Or dog. Or both!
They're really cute and sweet but I think I'd have to go to animal classes and read a ton of books to know how to take care of them properly.
Pets are a huge commitment and, like children, are a huge responsibility! ♡
