I'd say, what helped me a lot was learning how to contour noses. So maybe watch some makeup tutorials on how to contour noses!
if you're rendering the lighting, look out for references on how the light bends around the dimensions of the nose (particularly the nostril area)!
There's a lot of shadows and highlights alike in that area and I personally love stylising that type of lighting for my own art >:D
presketch with shapes and pay attention to shading(you have look at some of my realism sketches of people for reference if ya want)
Start with triangles! The whole volume can be comprised in an elongated pyramid with triangle base. Then start modifying this shape by refining the point bulb, adding the nostrils (you can use cubes initally or other geometric volumes), etc.
Uhhhhhh….
Starting out with the two anime teardrop shapes pointing at each other for the nostrils helps me get the placement and such as well as allowing me to not feel the need to connect everything.
The rest is kinda painting things in … ^~^"
Wich is not really helpful … but paying attention to the edges of shapes and how they contrast (like the tip of the nose vs the cheek area visible behind from some angles) can help?
