Urban to Rural Sketchbook

Analysing 1900s sailors jackets, particularly the double-breasted fastenings for keeping out wind and rain. I was also considering how I could make the fastenings reversible and therefore more functional (if one side breaks it can still be fastened the other way) as well as gender-neutral (men’s and women’s clothing tend to be fastened in opposite ways).Feb 12, 2022
