How long does an artwork usually take you? Would you consider your work process fast?
My pencil sketches take me 2-5 minutes at most, my digital drawings take probably 1-3 hours depending on complexity! Sometimes maybe several days, especially if I’m having troubles with it.
When I used COPICs, I’d take around an hour since I had to wait for the markers to dry at times :’)Jun 7, 2021

My style is quite simple but I usually take six hours due to my awful workflow, haha. Might take longer if I'm working with paintings.
•
My drawings usually take only a few hours in total, but I always procrastinate when I reach the shading part so I take a few to finish it
•
•Im veeeery slow! I mostly do digital and need at least 2h on most stuff when I'm colouring it's usually goes till 8h but I usually try to finish it in one sitting or else I lose interest in it
But if it's just lines I'm usually very fast XD everything else...hhhhhhh
I've never tried copics it looks super fun! But I have poscas I haven't touched yet

•i use watercolor, and the whole process usually takes me at least 5 hours. sometimes longer if i'm having trouble with something or if i'm working on a bigger/more detailed piece. the longest i've worked on for just one thing was about 12 to 13 hours. you can bet my ass was sore after that

•Watercolour paintings take me more than 6 hours. And sometimes even longer.
And I think... I also spend almost the same amount of time on digital paintings...
Actually it usually takes me around 2 to 3 days to complete my paintings. But I dont work on them through out the day so yeah.
I get distracted a lot too lol.
I remember this one time I was working on this watercolour painting non stop, and I finished it in 8 hours.

•Paintings usually take 4-6 hours, I haven't timed my digital drawings yet, and embroidery can take anywhere from 1 hour to 30 hours, but I'll just estimate that the average us around 5-12 hours maybe?
I think my digital drawings usually don't take more than a few hours, but I consider it slow because they're such simple drawings, I spend a lot of time because I make so many mistakes and I'm still learning how to use the program.

•It depends on how out of my comfort zone the drawing is tbh!! For pencil sketches it’s like 3 minute, for my quick cozy drawings which I don’t think I’ve uploaded yet bc they are oretty recent, they take like 1-2hr on procreate, for majority of my digital like headshots it takes around 3-6 hours I think? And anything with a background takes a few days bc of all of my lost braincells LOL
•
•No.
It's take my hours upon hours to get something done.
The minimum is 3 hours (for big thing) the minimum for normal pretty sketch is 15 minutes

•I can get a pretty good sketch down in about 5 minutes, but if I'm planning to make a full illustration it takes days

•Hmm i consider my work process not too slow but not too fast also? HAHAHA cuzz
My pencil doodles/sketches vary between 5-15 mins xD depends rly on the complexity :0 and when im using my phone to do a full colored artwork maybee 30 mins to an hour? It depends again HAHAH and when i use my drawing tab to do a full colored artwork, maybe 2-3 hours :0
But all in all when its just doodles and a simple artstyle with simple coloring maybe 15-20 mins xD if its a serious one maybe more than 30 mins or more than an hour! X'D
