Amount of people that doesn't know what phobia is "impressive". My favourite responses so far are:
-"Just get over it"
Oh no, my phobia is suddenly disappearing..
-"You're afraid of needles but you got your ear pierced"
Yeah, with a earring gun thing, and you don't feel like your veins are so fragile when you do it
-"It's not even painful"
It's not, that's why phobias aren't called pain. They're irrational fears
-"That's embarrasing lmao"

As someone who has weird phobias, I feel super icky when someone tells me to "grow up." Oh I'm sorry, if I should grow up and forget my fear of severe storms, then you should forget your fear of spiders :)
