Honestly I tend to look towards creators like Kaneko Kazuma and Yoshitaka Amano for designs I want to feel godlike/ monstrous ::-)

-in greek pantheon type things, characters that just do not give a single fuck about romance, unlike most other gods

-stuff floating around them (e.g. My eldest of order has tiny things floating around them that look like planets)

Deities having multiple forms!
A crazy deity form, a more humanlike form, a human disguise, & an animal form! They’re supposed to be powerful beings, so I always felt like made sense they could have those type of abilities!

Motifs! It's so fun to see deities with certain calling cards and makes everything so fun to pick through! Like, us that just an eagle circling overhead, or is it the god with the eagle motif?
I also really enjoy when gods have very developed relationships between each other! It's always fun to see the gods bicker or unexpectedly get along really well!

I think it’d be great if one of your gods had a personality directly the opposite of their character design.
Example:
Short cute and pastel goddess of love? Make her a total wine aunt who complains about her failing relationships and rarely helps out couples out of spite.
