Tiger and a turtle muralA mural painting for a customer, 3x2 m done with acrylic paints.
The subject of this painting is that it is better to live one year as a tiger then the whole life as a turtle.
It is the second wall next to the painting of a Polish actress Agnieszka Grochowska from a movie "Jak pokochałam gangster" ( How I fell love with a gangster) directed by Maciej Kawulski.
I can only recommend the movie as it is one of the best movies I saw in a long inspired by true events in the Poland.
It's impressive to be able to paint on big surface like this ! I suppose it's difficult too to keep the whole piece with the right proportion and organisation since you're too near of it to have the whole view...
As for critique, the anatomy on the tiger seems off... His right paw seems rather short in comparison with the other one, the two feet are pretty hard to read in fact... I suppose the white strokes here make more of a parasite effect than a line or fur effect. A more contrasting shadow on the paws would help to separate the two... At first glance it's looks like his right paw has two feet attached to it because the light on the left paw follow the orientation of the right paw (I'm not sure if this make any sense I'm sorry)
His head give me a strange feeling too, but I don't think it's because something is off, it's more likely because of his eyes who seems to try looking at us... It would probably felt more natural if the eye where looking ahead of him.
Nevertheless it's still an impressive piece the background make it looks like he come out a fire and it's blend nicely !
